Question

When all of the scholarships come, and if Jamila gets 15 and no one else gets more than 3 how do you think the jealousy will play out? Do you think it will hurt the team?

I personally think that the jealousy factor will play a huge part in what is to come. I think that the team won’t pass the ball to Jamila even when she may be open for an easy shot but they won’t pass to her. Then they will just be like North Hamp. A team with good players, but don’t play well with each other.

I personally think that the team will not be affected by the scholarships because they are mature and work together. When Rita was having trouble with the boy Jen comforted her. The team has not fought much through out the book. They have always worked together.

I agree with Alex, I think that the number of scholarships that Jamila gets will affect the team negatively. I think that all of the scholarships offers will go to Jamila’s head and she will think that she is better than everyone else and also she might become a ball hog to try and showoff. Also I think that the team will think that she is getting to much attention and not pass her the ball as much because they think that she already has enough scouts wanting her and giving her scholarships. I also think that each person will be trying harder than usual and that might make to the team a little better, but without the team trusting and not being jealous there team can only get worst

I believe that the team will not be affected by the scholarships because the Amherst Hurricanes have found in themselves the teamwork that they needed last year when they lost. The trust, confidence, and hope that they didn’t have are there, and they have worked too hard to give that up. The girls have also made it through other unfair times, such as when the paparazzi calls Jamila the “star,” and that does not affect the way the girls play. If anything only the feelings of the girls will change, and only for a short while. But when they are on the court, they will forget those feelings and play as if they didn’t even know about the scholarships.
