Was the team able to become a more well balenced team in the end or were they just Jen and Jamila?

I think that the team was a better team overall. There were more plays for Kathleen and everey one else, all though they did envolve Jen and Jamila.

Do you think that Jamila and Jen grew apart in the end or they became better friends?



I think that they grew farther apart. The book mentioned towards the beginning that they were best friends. Towards the end Jen began to focus morer on her other teammates and new friends.

The Book

Overall how did you like this book and would you recommend this book at anyone else. If so what age group and what kind of people would you recommend this book to? What are some things that you liked and disliked about this book and what would you change?

Out of all of the books that I have read I would rate this book on the lower end of them. This is because the text was very confusing in the way that they skip around a lot and talked about the girl’s backgrounds. For this book it took me a while to get use to the reading and understand the book. Always it was hard to understand the reading for me unless I read it in chapters. I would not recommend this book because I didn’t like how the book was organized.

What is it about the Huricannes and the end of the season what makes them stop full spead to a slump, why cant they put in that last push? Is there anybody that stops them on the team, or is it the presures of the town? Does this really make them any worse of a team?

There are many different girls with many different personalities on the Amherst Hurricanes. Who is your favorite character and why? My favorite character would have to be Jen, because she is very smart and funny, and is also a leader in the group. I do think that she needs a little bit of faith in herself, though; It seems that she believes that Jamila is better than her, even though they are equals.

Who do you think is the better player on the team all around just not on the court but for the entire town?

If your coach was as hard as coach mayer, in any sport, would you leave the sport or stay?

When all of the scholarships come, and if Jamila gets 15 and no one else gets more than 3 how do you think the jealousy will play out? Do you think it will hurt the team?

I personally think that the jealousy factor will play a huge part in what is to come. I think that the team won’t pass the ball to Jamila even when she may be open for an easy shot but they won’t pass to her. Then they will just be like North Hamp. A team with good players, but don’t play well with each other.
